After years of actual testing and improvement by customers in Japan, Amada officially launched its new digital (video) curve grinder abroad for the first time in the second half of this year.
For the traditional optical curve grinder, it is necessary to prepare a high-precision 20X/50X projection magnification map for the operator to use the shape of the grinding wheel to track the path on the magnified map to make a machining program.
These tedious tasks will be replaced by fully digital electronic path CAD. The operator only needs to input the digital processing path into the computer, and the path can be displayed on the screen.
The high-precision image analysis software can instantly determine the position of the workpiece, the shape of the grinding wheel and the required machining allowance, and generate a machining program to instruct the CNC to perform rough machining.
After that, the displayed shape of the ground workpiece is compared with the digital path, so as to judge the finishing path and generate the finishing program. The process is highly automated.
Thanks to the fine error compensation of CCD's pixel division and powerful analysis software, it can effectively improve the processing accuracy and the degree of automation.
